About Leona Gu

Leona Gu is originally from China and has loved art since childhood. She is a passionate and dedicated artist. She has years of experience and knowledge across various media, including painting and sculpture, as well as expertise in Chinese art.

She has been learning oil painting, focusing on landscapes under the guidance of several professional artists; she has completed an Advanced Diploma of Visual Arts and received an Art Source Industry Award. She is now studying Creative Arts at Curtin. She draws inspiration from nature and her surroundings when painting landscapes.

Leona has made significant achievements in the field of art. Her artwork has been exhibited in several galleries, and her studio, “Eastern meets Western Art Studio,”was featured in the Mundaring Hills Studio Open. It is widely known in Western Australia and China. Her oil paintings, especially landscapes and roses, as well as her Chinese paintings, are highly sought after and collected by many art enthusiasts. 

Her mission is to be a lifelong learner, to experiment and grow as a professional 
artist, and to combine Eastern and Western art practices to create a cohesive form of both cultures.
